Data Warehousing on AWS

This 3-day course helps you become familiar with administering an Amazon Redshift cluster.

The Data Warehousing on AWS course provides an in-depth understanding of how to create a cloud-based data warehousing solution using Amazon Redshift.

Participants will explore key concepts, strategies, and best practices for data warehousing. The course covers the purpose of Amazon Redshift, how it solves business and technical issues, its features, and how to design a data warehousing solution on AWS using the Well-Architected Framework. Participants will learn about integrating AWS and non-AWS services, performance tuning, orchestration, and securing and monitoring Amazon Redshift.

The course includes presentations, hands-on labs, and demonstrations. By the end of the course, attendees will be able to describe the architecture of Amazon Redshift, design and implement a cloud data warehouse, load data from various sources, analyze data using SQL QEV2 notebooks, and create a disaster recovery strategy. They will also learn to perform maintenance and tuning, manage access, share data between Redshift clusters, orchestrate and automate workflows with AWS Step Functions, and create machine learning models using Amazon Redshift ML.

This course is aimed at data engineers, architects, database administrators, and developers. It is recommended that participants complete foundational courses in analytics and data lakes on AWS before attending.
