Migrating to AWS
This 3-day course provides an overview of the tools available to migrate from an on-premises deployment to AWS.
The Migrating to AWS course is designed for those who want to learn how to plan and move existing workloads to the AWS Cloud.
Over 3 days, participants will explore different cloud migration strategies and the key steps in the migration process. These include discovering portfolios, planning application migrations, executing migrations, and validating and optimizing applications after migration.
The course includes presentations, hands-on labs, demonstrations, assessments, and group exercises to enhance learning. By the end of the course, attendees will be able to identify the reasons for migrating to the cloud, understand the three phases of migration, describe AWS architecture and tools, differentiate between migration strategies, assess an organization’s readiness for migration, gather necessary data, plan migration strategies, execute migrations, and optimize applications post-migration.
This course is aimed at solutions architects, software engineers, IT project managers, operations leads, and others involved in migration projects. To get the most out of this course, participants should have a basic understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and ideally have completed the AWS Technical Essentials or Architecting on AWS training. They may also have the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification, although this is optional.
