AWS Migration Essentials
This 1-day course is an introduction to planning and performing lift and shift migrations to the AWS Cloud.
The AWS Migration Essentials course gives solutions architects the foundational knowledge needed to move workloads to AWS successfully. It walks through the methodologies for discovering, planning, performing, and tracking migrations, and shows which AWS tools and services support each step. Along the way you will look at migration drivers and outcomes, landing zones, and migration strategies, as well as modernization and application optimization after the move.
Over the day, participants take part in presentations, demonstrations, assessments, and two hands-on labs. You will learn how to determine cloud readiness and choose migration strategies using AWS assessment tools, and how to describe the key tasks involved in planning and mobilizing a migration. You will also get a high-level view of the AWS services, resources, and tools used to migrate data and databases, including AWS Database Migration Service, and to migrate applications and servers with AWS Application Migration Service.
This course is aimed at a technical audience, such as solutions architects, developers, and administrators, with limited to no knowledge of cloud migration. It is recommended that attendees have completed AWS Technical Essentials.
