In this 2-day course we’re taking a look at how to lead AI strategy engagements, from customer diagnosis through enterprise deployment.
The Become an AWS AI Business Strategist course is designed for business and technology leaders who shape, sponsor, and scale AI initiatives in their organizations. Instructors show how to think like an AI strategist using case studies, and introduce the 3D framework (Discover, Design, Deliver) for assessing organizational readiness and mapping problems to AI capabilities. Participants leave with practical tools: strategic frameworks and guided walkthrough documents, all set in the context of the AWS AI ecosystem.
Over 2 days, you will learn how to turn ambiguous business challenges into scoped, AI-appropriate problem statements, weigh business objectives against responsible AI principles, and design pilot strategies with measurable success criteria and phased paths to enterprise scale. You will also learn how to facilitate AI change management, address workforce concerns, structure cross-functional teams, and explain core AI and generative AI concepts to inform build, buy, or partner decisions. The course also covers agentic AI architecture, evaluation, and production. Day 1 features multiple 30-minute activities, while Day 2 brings two interactive simulations with instructor debriefing, so you can put everything together in an end-to-end AI strategy challenge. Case studies, small group discussions, and customer scenario analysis run throughout.
This course is aimed at business executives and senior leaders responsible for AI strategy, product and program managers driving AI initiatives, IT and technology leaders overseeing AI adoption, risk, compliance, and governance professionals, and change management and HR leaders supporting AI transformation. It is recommended that attendees have business or technology leadership experience, familiarity with enterprise technology initiatives, and a basic understanding of cloud computing concepts. AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials is optional.
