CompTIA Business Essentials
The CompTIA Business Essentials course is designed for students, recent graduates, career changers and professionals in any industry who want to understand how businesses work. It is part of CompTIA’s beginner-friendly Essentials series, and no prior experience is required.
Participants build business acumen, including how decisions, organizational goals and value creation drive success. They practice strategic thinking by setting actionable goals and analyzing outcomes, and gain financial literacy by reading financial statements, managing cash flow and evaluating return on investment. They also explore how businesses create value for stakeholders and use frameworks such as the balanced scorecard. Narrative text, videos, interactive activities and real-world scenarios help put these ideas into practice.
The course ends with a CompTIA CompCert assessment rather than a traditional certification exam, and you earn a downloadable Competency Certificate to show your mastery to employers and colleagues. With a foundation in business operations, strategic thinking and financial literacy, you will be better prepared to make informed decisions and increase your effectiveness in the workplace.
