CompTIA Cisco Networking Pro

The CompTIA Cisco Networking Pro course is designed for people who want to master the networking skills behind Cisco environments, from fundamentals to automation. It is best suited for learners who already have a foundational knowledge of networking concepts. The course provides step-by-step instruction and hands-on practice, but some prior experience will help you succeed.

Participants learn networking models, IP addressing, subnetting and VLANs, and configure routers, switches, routing protocols such as OSPF and EIGRP, and Spanning Tree Protocol features. You learn to secure networks with ACLs, VPNs and wired and wireless best practices, to configure and protect wireless networks, and to resolve problems with tools like ping, traceroute and packet analyzers. This version also introduces automation topics, including AI, machine learning, Terraform and Cisco DNA Center, and all of it is practised in virtual labs that need no physical equipment.

The course includes the Cisco Networking Pro competency assessment, built into the course, in which you complete performance-based tasks that simulate real-world scenarios. It also prepares you for the Cisco CCNA (200-301) certification, and for roles such as network administrator, network engineer, systems administrator, technology support specialist or IT infrastructure specialist.
