CompTIA CyberDefense Pro
The CompTIA CyberDefense Pro course is designed for people who want to step into the defensive side of cybersecurity and learn to detect and respond to threats. It is best suited for learners with a foundational knowledge of networking, cybersecurity and threat detection concepts. The course offers step-by-step instruction and hands-on practice, and prior experience will help you get the most from it.
Participants learn to identify and analyze cybersecurity threats with industry-standard tools, develop and carry out response plans, and perform forensic analysis. You also learn to automate security tasks and strengthen detection with Python and PowerShell, and to carry out risk assessments while keeping to regulatory standards. In the labs you analyze network traffic with SIEM tools and packet analyzers, investigate incidents, and configure firewalls and intrusion detection systems in a fully virtual environment.
The course includes the CyberDefense Pro competency assessment, a set of performance-based tasks in a simulated environment that tests threat detection, incident response, security operations, compliance and automation. It also prepares you for the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification, version 3, and for roles such as cybersecurity analyst, SOC analyst, incident responder, threat intelligence analyst or security operations specialist.
