CompTIA Data Analysis Essentials
The CompTIA Data Analysis Essentials course is designed for anyone who wants to work confidently with data, no matter their role or industry. It is beginner-friendly and accessible to all learners, with no previous data analysis experience required. It is not the same as Data+, which is a deep-dive certification for full-time data analysts; this course focuses on foundational skills.
Participants learn through videos, interactive activities, real-world case study scenarios and hands-on projects that are auto-graded by AI. You will start by defining analysis objectives and clarifying business questions, then import, structure, clean and transform real datasets. From there you combine data sources and use lookups, perform calculations and core analyses, and summarize findings with visuals and dashboards. The course also covers best practices for data accuracy, privacy and ethical sharing.
Data Analysis Essentials is a training course rather than a job-role certification. It ends with a competency assessment, and on passing it you earn a downloadable CompTIA CompCert, a certificate of competency that you can share on your resume or LinkedIn to prove your data analysis proficiency to employers. It is a practical way to build confidence and apply data-driven skills in your current or future role.
