BigQuery Skills
This 3-hour Cloud Hero course is a gamified, hands-on challenge that builds your BigQuery skills.
In BigQuery Skills, you gain hands-on experience writing queries that unlock insights from BigQuery’s public datasets. You learn to export data, create Cloud SQL instances and manage tables, and you sharpen your skills by troubleshooting common SQL errors and writing effective queries that turn raw data into actionable intelligence.
The challenge consists of four labs: an introduction to SQL for BigQuery and Cloud SQL, a BigQuery Qwik Start in the console, exploring an ecommerce dataset with SQL, and troubleshooting common SQL errors.
This introductory course is meant for anyone brand new to BigQuery and assumes little to no prior SQL experience. Familiarity with Cloud Storage and Cloud Shell is recommended, but not required.
