Writing Effective Prompts for Generative AI helps you build a skill that is becoming useful across many industries and roles. You begin with what generative AI is and how prompting differs from keyword search, then learn prompt design best practices: using prompt building blocks, giving examples, iterating, defining follow-up prompts and chain-of-thought.
The session then turns to improving output accuracy, covering hallucinations, prompt instructions, grounding and citations, double-checking responses and developer settings. You will also learn to write prompts for multimodal models. Learning is hands-on, with demos and activities with Google Gemini throughout, followed by a quiz and summary.
The course is for customers and has no prerequisites. It offers both introductory and more advanced insights into generative AI, so it suits people with varying levels of AI expertise.
