Application Development with LLMs on Google Cloud
This 1-day course is a hands-on introduction to building applications with large language models on Google Cloud.
In the Application Development with LLMs on Google Cloud course, you will dive into how LLMs can be used in your own applications. You start with the core principles of prompting, then turn to Google’s Gemini family of models and their multimodal capabilities. A good part of the day goes to effective prompt design and engineering in Agent Studio, before the course moves on to application development frameworks and how to put these ideas to work in code.
Over 5 modules and 4 labs, participants explore the generative AI options on Google Cloud, test prompts in Agent Studio, apply advanced prompt engineering techniques to improve model output, and build a multi-turn chat application using the Gemini API and LangChain. Topics such as grounding and data governance in Agent Studio are covered too.
The course is aimed at customers and partners. Attendees should have completed Introduction to Developer Efficiency on Google Cloud or have equivalent knowledge. Note that building agents with the Agent Development Kit and deploying them with Agent Engine is not the focus here and is covered in other courses.
