Looker Developer Deep Dive
In this 2-day course we’re taking a look at advanced LookML development in Looker.
Looker Developer Deep Dive builds on LookML, the foundation of Looker’s visualization assets, which can also drive dynamic aggregations, incrementally refreshed persistent derived tables and more. Through guided lectures and independent exercises with sample data, you practice the skills of an advanced Looker developer across seven modules and six labs.
You will review Looker administration and LookML fundamentals, then go deeper into derived tables, persistence and incremental refresh. You will use Liquid for dynamic SQL, templated filters and parameters, modularize your LookML with extends and refinements, and use the Looker IDE, data tests and DevOps practices to test, debug and manage deployments. The course also covers best practices for performance and embedding Looker content in web applications.
This course is aimed at customers who already develop in Looker. Completion of the Developing Data Models with LookML course, or equivalent experience using LookML, is expected. It is rated as an advanced course.
