Managing Google Cloud's Apigee API Platform for Hybrid Cloud

In this 3-day course we’re taking a look at how to install and manage Google Cloud’s Apigee API Platform in a hybrid cloud.

Managing Google Cloud’s Apigee API Platform for Hybrid Cloud uses lectures and a lab to show you how to install, manage and scale Apigee hybrid. You start with the purpose and value of Apigee, along with the basics of Google Cloud, Kubernetes, REST and Anthos, then move on to the architecture, terminology, organizational structure and recommended topology design. In the lab you install the Apigee hybrid runtime plane on a Kubernetes cluster on GKE, configure environments and environment groups, deploy simple API proxies and test them.

The remaining modules cover deployment and environment management, security (infrastructure security, data storage and encryption, and role-based access control), capacity planning and scaling of runtime components, upgrade and rollback, and logging, monitoring and troubleshooting with logs, metrics and analytics.

The course is aimed at cloud architects and cloud engineers. Participants should be familiar with Linux commands and the command line, and have a basic understanding of Google Cloud, GKE and networking, as well as shell scripts, XML, JSON, HTTP, REST and TLS.
