Developing Applications with Google Cloud

In this 3-day course we’re taking a look at the fundamentals of developing applications on Google Cloud.

The Developing Applications with Google Cloud course covers best practices for designing cloud applications and how to choose compute and data options for them. You will learn about authentication and authorization, generative AI for developers, and continuous integration and delivery for apps running in Google Cloud. You will weigh the benefits and challenges of microservice-based architectures, discover the advantages of event-driven applications, and compare service orchestration and choreography.

You will learn to use Workflows, Eventarc, Cloud Tasks and Cloud Scheduler to coordinate a microservices application, and explore Cloud Functions: single-purpose functions that respond to HTTP requests and process events. That includes building, testing and deploying them, securing them and connecting them to resources and cloud databases, and following best practices. The course includes seven hands-on labs.

The course is aimed at application developers, architects and cloud engineers. Programming experience is recommended, and basic proficiency with command-line tools and Linux environments is helpful.
