Architecting with Google Cloud Design and Process
In this 2-day course we’re taking a look at how to use proven design patterns on Google Cloud to build reliable, efficient solutions and run deployments that are highly available and cost-effective.
The Architecting with Google Cloud Design and Process course combines lectures, design activities and hands-on labs. You will learn to define application requirements and express them as KPIs, SLOs and SLIs, decompose requirements to find the right microservice boundaries, and set up modern, automated deployment pipelines with Google Cloud developer tools. From there you will choose suitable storage and deployment services, discuss Google Cloud network architectures including hybrid setups, and look at how to secure applications, data and infrastructure.
Throughout the two days you will balance reliability and performance against cost, and learn to monitor service level objectives and costs using Cloud Monitoring. The course also includes three hands-on labs.
The course is aimed at cloud solutions architects, site reliability engineers, systems operations professionals, DevOps engineers, IT managers, and anyone using Google Cloud to create new solutions or integrate existing systems. It is meant for those who have completed Architecting with Google Compute Engine or Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine, or have equivalent experience, along with basic command-line and Linux skills and systems operations experience on-premises or in a public cloud.
