Security in Google Cloud
In this 3-day course we’re taking a broad look at security controls and techniques in Google Cloud.
Security in Google Cloud gives you a thorough study of how to build a secure Google Cloud solution. Through lectures, demonstrations and labs across eleven modules you explore and deploy the components involved, using services including Cloud Identity, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud IDS, Web Security Scanner, BeyondCorp Enterprise and Cloud DNS.
You will cover the foundations of Google Cloud security, administration identities and user administration with IAM, VPC isolation, security and logging, and best practices for securing Compute Engine, data, applications and GKE resources. The course also looks at protection against DDoS attacks, managing content-related vulnerabilities, monitoring, logging, auditing and scanning, Google Cloud Directory Sync, deploying Cloud IDS and automating security controls and compliance monitoring.
The course is for cloud information security analysts, architects and engineers, information security and cybersecurity specializts, and cloud infrastructure architects. Participants should have completed Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure and Networking in Google Cloud or have equivalent experience, know foundational information security concepts, and have basic proficiency with command-line tools and Linux environments.
