Manage Scalable Workloads in GKE

In this 3-day course we’re taking a look at how to modernize, manage and observe applications at scale with Google Kubernetes Engine.

The Manage Scalable Workloads in GKE course uses lectures and hands-on labs to explore GKE, GKE fleets, Cloud Service Mesh and config controller capabilities, so you can work with modern applications even when they are split across multiple clusters hosted by multiple providers. You will learn the challenges of multi-cluster infrastructure, the architecture and components of GKE fleets, and how to create, connect and manage clusters from different environments.

You will use Cloud Service Mesh for advanced routing and traffic management, secure traffic between microservices and build multi-cluster networking architectures. The course also covers identity and authentication at scale, security measures for protecting GKE deployments, options for scalable CI/CD in a multi-cluster environment, and how GKE supports deploying and optimizing AI models. In total there are nine hands-on labs, including managing workloads with fleets and teams, automating configuration with Config Sync and deploying a multi-cluster gateway.

The course is aimed at Google Cloud practitioners and anyone using Google Cloud to create, integrate or modernize solutions with secure, scalable microservices architectures in hybrid environments. You should have completed Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure and Architecting with GKE, or have equivalent experience.
