Introduction to Agent Search for Commerce

In this 2-day course we’re taking a look at Agent Search for commerce and how it can improve the customer experience in online retail.

Introduction to Agent Search for Commerce starts with the core functionality, key concepts, a tour of the Cloud Console and common use cases, before you implement a basic search app. You then learn how to ingest product catalog and user event data from sources such as Cloud Storage, BigQuery and Merchant Center, manage product metadata and attributes, and keep data quality high. Six labs and classroom activities, including data transformation and validation, managing product metadata, and personalizing search results, let you practice what you learn.

The course continues with search and browse functionality, ranking, optimization controls and personalization, as well as recommendation models and how to build a recommendation strategy. You also learn how to deploy with serving configurations and controls, run A/B tests, and monitor and analyze performance, and finish with advanced features such as query expansion, dynamic faceting, boost controls and integration with other Google Cloud services.

The course is aimed at search engineers, data engineers and data scientists. Participants should have completed Modernizing Retail and Ecommerce Solutions with Google Cloud or have equivalent experience with Google Cloud.
